There is a big difference between a stock TH900 and a Lawton Level 3 TH900.

Couldn't comment on that. Never heard of that ever yet.

Anyone who is kind enough to lend me for a week? :)

Has anyone had experience in either replacing/modding the headband or make it softer (like adding foam for example) to make it more comfortable for extended listening? I remember that when I had my first pair of TH-600 my head started hurting after a while due to the little padding in the headband. Thank you.

I haven't had a problem with the padding of the headband since the TH-600 is light enough, not like the LCD series and the TH-600 is much more comfortable than the TH-X00 to me due to the ear pads of the TH-X00.

Th900 arrived yesterday and so far very pleased with their sound. The difference between them and th600 is not day and night though (not significant). Will have to spend a couple of days at least between them in order to post more impressions.
