With EQ, the Audezes get closer to my idea of a neutral response, because the 600 doesn't take sub-bass boost very well at all. It gets kind of sloppy and boomy when boosting more than 1-2db.

I have a +3dB boost at 25hz, wide Q, but with subsonic filter on so it effectively boosts at 20hz and above (in case I'm watching a movie that has SFX that low). Doesn't get boomy, just fills in the bottom so bass drums and strings sound deeper (but not really any louder), otherwise still tight. Gives more of a crawling "boom" to bass music but not really ending up with notes melding into each other.
