I recently purchased a Lite DAC-AH and enjoy the sound except on loud complex passages where it seems to distort very audibly. I've read elsewhere in this forum that the recent Lite DAC-AHs (maybe all of them) have 6V going to the TDA1543s instead of 8V as shown in the schematic and on the PC...

Just out of curiosity (aaaand maybe consideration...maybe), what are some of the cheapest DAC's with optical input? The cheapest one I know is the DAC-Ah for ~$150...just wondering if there are any cheaper ones out there worth considering?

Both are NOS DAC which have a lot of positive reviews. I'm planning to buy 1 of them.    with the Lite DAC AH, I'll do the passive mod and fix the voltage Cost: ~$180(ebay) + $40 (poly cap) = $220   the TeraDak v3.1D is $250 on ebay     Does anyone has an ideal which option...
