Sound Analysis
Lows

The bass has a very good depth with excellent extension. It is very crisp and tight. The sub-bass is extended nicely. I would say it has nice texture to it too but the main highlight is the punch you get out of the 150S. It is very addictive to listen to it. The mid bass has quite a good slam to it. I am really satisfied with the quality of the bass. It is detailed and clinical.
Mids
The mids is not the thick and lush kind but instead, it operates on being detailed and transparent. There is a slight emphasis on the upper mids which enhances female vocals. Vocals sound crystal clear and there is excellent clarity. The detail retrieval is one of the best I have ever heard in an earbud. The sweetness of the mids coupled with the transparency makes the midrange particularly awesome.
Highs
The treble has great extension and there is no sibilance. It has great crisp and no graininess at all. There is an excellent definition. In addition, there is a good amount of air which suits well with it. I feel that the treble performance is very impressive with great articulation and transparency. Also, there is a very nice sparkle that adds a good kick to the overall presentation of the highs.
Soundstage
The 150S has a soundstage with an excellent width and decent amount of depth.

Comparisons
I use the Ibasso DX200 to compare the different earbuds.

TY Hi-Z 150S vs TY Hi-Z 650
The 150S has a better extension than the 650 in the sub-bass department. The sub-bass is more articulate and punchier. There is better definition and 150S’ bass is more impactful. The 150S has a slightly bigger slam to it. I feel the bass quality of 150S is really good. Authoritative and punchy. Next, the 650 has slightly warm mids while 150S mids is transparent and clear. There is a slight emphasis on upper mids for the 150S. 650 still has more details in a different approach. Both are clinical in their own ways. Moving on, as 150S is a bright sounding earbud, its treble is more extended and crispy with no constraint at all. This is particularly good for pop music. In addition, I am surprised there is no sibilance & harshness. It reminds me a lot of my Campfire Audio Andromeda. For soundstage, 650 has better depth and on par with 150S on the width but I personally feel 150S is better for the width.

TY Hi-Z 150S vs Venture Electronics Zen 2.0
The 150S has a better extension than the Zen 2.0 in the sub-bass department. Similar to the above comparison, sub-bass of 150S is articulate and punchier with a higher level of definition. The bass is robust and impactful as every bass note is expressed with authority. Next, Zen 2.0 has very warm mids in comparison to the 150S.150S has clean and transparent mids. The lower mids of Zen 2.0 has more body, thus male vocals sound better with the Zen 2.0. However, 150S excels in female vocals because of the upper mids. Next, we have the treble. As a bright sounding earbud, 150S excels in it as compared to the Zen 2.0 which is warm. 150S treble is well extended and crisp. In addition, the extra sparkle brought by 150S adds a new dimension to my songs as I am able to feel the extra kick to the music. There is no harshness & sibilance on both earbuds although I feel 150S is more treble-oriented. Zen 2.0 has the better depth in soundstage while 150S has the better width.

Conclusion
The TY Hi-Z 150S performs beyond its price and is able to compete with my flagship earbuds competently. This goes to show that higher impedance does not dictate the sound quality. To conclude, 150 is a bright sounding earbud with great sub-bass extension, transparent mids and organic treble.
