So, I have a Little Dot IV with Senn HD650s and a high quality DAC. I've always wanted to be able to sit a bit farther away to enjoy my beautiful tubes, but have been reluctant to spend $900 on a headphone extension cable. I did some searching on e-bay and found this vendor (Guitars-of-Love) in Australia. He seemed to make some quality sound products so I gave this cable a go.
It is a 5m braided shielded cable with a gold plated Amphenol male plug and an Altronics locking line socket with gold plaited contacts, all at only $29.95 plus shipping. I got some nice follow-up e-mails from the engineer and the packet insert tells me how to do a 'Hollywood roll' to maintain the cable shielding. Full marks!!! Now for the good bits...
I cannot hear one tiny bit of difference with the cable and without!! Not one tiny bit... it is a GREAT deal!! Highly recommended!!
