General Information
This cable is named after the beautiful master work by America's composer, Aaron Copeland's "Appalachian Spring".
Similar to "Appalachian Spring", the BTG-Audio Appalachian Headphone cable captures the essence of America. Everything that goes into the cable is only sourced from 3 countries. The wire is made in Japan and most of the heat shrink is made in Canada. The printed logo heat shrink, the plugs, the solder, the iron, and the entire cable itself were all proudly crafted in America.
Not only is this cable made from quality parts from reputable countries, it's also offered at an affordable price. Who said America couldn't compete anymore?
This cable is 6 ft long (1.83m) and utilizes BTG-Audio's flat 8 strand configuration for a durable, yet light weight and beautiful cable. Wire is 26 AWG and has 4 wires per channel (2 signal, 2 ground). This creates a 23 AWG equivalent wire per channel.
The wire is finely stranded 5n Oxygen free copper insulated with a clear Polyethylene Dielectric.
The wire is braided to help resist interference by creating its own shield w/o added bulk.
The Audeze plugs have silver plated copper alloy contacts
The Sennheiser plugs are made by Cardas and plated in Rhodium.
The Hifiman handles are hand brushed by yours truly.
The 3.5mm jack is nickel plated copper alloy with a tin plated tip.
The all of housings are nickel plated copper and this shields the plugs from outside interference. Except in the case of the Sennheiser cable.
Everything is soldered using Kester 331 Organic Solder.
That's it, no gimmicks with "Made by Antarctic Virgins" or "Dipped in the fountain of youth". Straight American talk.
