Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones

New Head-Fier
Pros: decent noise cancellation
Cons: middling to low quality audio, you can get miles better fidelity for the same price (see HiFiMan HE-300/Denon AH-D2000)
As a frequent traveler, these headphones served their purpose. The noise cancellation is some of the best you'll find, but the audio quality suffers greatly as a consequence. They withstood about 2 years of very heavy use, before the earpads and drivers both completely gave out. That said, there are few headphones that serve heavy travel purposes as well as these, but for the price point, it loses major points with me. I honestly expected far better audio quality and longevity.

look for the Denon AH-D2000, if you're dead set on this price range.
