New Head-Fier
Pros: Beautiful sound and build quality. Comes with a very long wire built in.
Cons: May not be comfortable to wear for a long period of time. The cable is unremovable.
I'm giving this review because these Beyerdynamics are the first serious headphones I've ever owned (Most of my older headphones consist of cheap dollar store iem's and a Beats Studio). Yes, they are a huge jump from my previously owned "headphones". The Dt770's have a phenomenal build quality. The pads are comfortable, the materials feel nice and sturdy, and they fit nice and tightly around your ears. The sound is clear and accurate, with nice imaging and tight bass. It does have a resistance of 80 ohms so you might need more power than your average mobile phone or laptop, but cheaper amps can make these cans sound much more powerful. I have a Little Dot mk1 tube amp and a Fiio e10k, and they both do a great job of filling in that emptiness of the sound. The treble is excessively high when you listen to them out of the box, but they start to balance out after three days of burn-in.
