Got these by chance, without any reviews, and got it right. Actually I'm really happy that i didn't get Logitech's or Creative speakers in the same price range (since i have a 5.1 Creative set which has boomy bass) So I have put my trust in Altec Lansing brand and boy I was surprised, they don't sound as good as my friends pricier Altec Lansing model but for the price they sound so nice and clear and crisp, the most surpisin thing to me are actually the highs, never have I heard treble as good as out of these in a budget PC speakers, seems like ohter sets try to have as much bass too impress youngsters, while these Altecs have everything right and balanced, you et the tone control, that doesnt do much, i pretty much keep in almost on max. Sound is balanced, everything is there. Just know that this set is for small room.
