Fantastic combo. I use it daily.

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread

Got the cable - it was mailed from the UK media mail! Anyway it works! I can now use one iPower Plus to power both units. Really slick. I wish it had a DC trigger so when you power the amp the DAC turns on etc. I bought mine off of eBay for $2-5 bucks. Note: You just daisy chain so one unit...

I asked the same question and I am awaiting a cable I ordered. I will report back if everything checks out. It should arrive this week.

Review by 'Trogdor' on item 'iFi audio Pro iDSD - Standalone. Streamer. DacAmp'

Introduction When iFi audio announced it was working on a "Pro" line of audiophile products, two thoughts immediately came to mind: 1) it seemed like a natural progression for them since their micro line had pretty much rewrote the book on what entry- to mid-level audio can sound like almost...

@SomeGuyDude Fair enough. I would say you get that in all forums though. Anyway, if you feel brave enough, please stop by again.

Why do you say that? I've read a lot of the threads on metal - seems pretty friendly to me. Or at least can you point me to a thread where you see this?

Small shout-out: A lot of the original regulars in this thread now hang out in the Metal-Fi forums. Check it out. Or don't. Up to you!

iFi audio Pro iDSD (Official) - NEW Firmware - MQA and more.

There are plenty of resistor ladder DACs (some of which costs tens of thousands of dollars). I'm not 100% sure, but I thought the Schiit Yggy was a type of RL DAC (but I could be wrong).

iFi audio Pro iDSD (Official) - NEW Firmware - MQA and more.

People keep saying this (about "paying for an amp"). But look at all the pro DACs out there (Benchmark to the CHORD DAVE). They all have'em! I just don't think of the Pro iDSD that way.

The Review Tour of FiiO Q5 Flagship Bluetooth and DSD-Capable DAC & Amplifier Starts Right Now!

I'd like to apply to review. I own a myriad array of high-end to low-end headphones and IEMs (Utopia SINE, i4, HF5, KSC-75, etc.) as well as a few amps and DACs (Mojo, iCan PRO, micro iDSD, and some others). I've done many reviews on Head-Fi, some of which have been featured (almost all of...

Right, but then you are using it as a preamp.

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread

The volume knob has nothing to do with the line-level output from a DAC to the amp. This is universally true. The volume knob for the iDSD Pro would effect the internal amp built into it, not the iCan Pro's amp stage. I'm not iFi Audio but it HAS to work this way. You can try this out for...

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

I had the buzzing sound and it is definitely a lack of ground in your chain... I solved mine using iFi's Ground Hog. I'm going to have a piece about this fairly soon.

Comment by 'Trogdor' in item 'Audeze LCDi4 In-Ear Headphones'

Owned the LCD-3 non-fazor and had the LCD-X for many weeks to play with: More transparent than both, has bigger bass than both, easily out trebles them, and I say the sound stage is on par if not better than the 3 (at least non-fazor version).

Review by 'Trogdor' on item 'Audeze LCDi4 In-Ear Headphones'

Introduction When Audeze introduced their iSine series about a year ago, there were actually three different models announced: the i10, the i20, and the LCDi3. Most of you however, probably remember reading only about the i10 and i20 since those pairs were the only ones in actual production and...

Don't have the Layla, I have the Roxanne. The i4 is in an entirely different league than the Roxanne.

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

@edwardsean I would suspect so. I think their main disadvantage compared to full size headphones is the fact that a full size can creates an artificial chamber which imbues it with a certain soundstage. IEMs unfortunately are constrained in this regard.

Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion

@Ricky64 I'm getting my review unit tomorrow and I will most certainly try to answer a lot of the questions you are asking. They are definitely on point.
