    IE7/8 vs TF-10 vs UM2

I have a thing against UE cables. I take extra care of all my IEMs, and the UE cable, by far are of inferior qualities. Do take extra caution especially at the area near the jack. IE8 and westone cables are really good. Wonder what it'll be like to place IE8 cables on TF10?

    Etys Triflange

The isolation is fantastic. The bass is clearer, and can be felt. Due to the large bore of the SF3, I can only push past a certain point on the triflange in my ears, and it isolates sufficiently well. To date, this is the best tip I've come across. I have used Shure silicon, comply, audio...

    Etys Triflange

Unsuccessful attempt with the IE8s. The sound bore feels too fragile, and the I don't wish to dent the metal mesh also. Oh well, the excitement is short lived- still in the search for the perfect tips for my IE8.

    Etys Triflange

Can't believe that I manage to fit the etys triflange on my UE SF3. Gosh, I'm so amazed with the improved in SQ over them. I'm not a comply lover, and have been relying on silicon tips (small size). Pardon if I sound a little noobish, but the Etys RE4p were my latest acquisition, before that...

Opinions on replacement for UE SF3

I just came back from auditioning the SE210. Don't like it enough to buy it. My SF3 is fitted with ES2 cables. I am looking for a similar sound or better, with this described configuration. I have the PL50s.

    Sennheiser IE8 Impressions Thread

Beg pardon. Something's wrong with my connection. Seems I hit the post button twice, seeing that it took so long to respond.

    Sennheiser IE8 Impressions Thread

Hi there, lately I've also been wondering. I just re-read HPA's review on the W3. I did audition the W3, but my mere experience with it was insufficient for me to form a concrete impression. What I had concluded in that brief time were all the points that the IE8 excelled in. However...

I am looking for the best IEMs for an ipod under $200

At this point you should also consider how you would like to wear your IEMs. For TF10, it can be worn normal, or over the ears. But the size of it is rather big, so you probably get better isolation and stability if worn over ears. Etys, you wear it normally. But for good isolation and bass...

    NEED HELP WITH IN-EAR HEADPHONES

goodvibes- PL-50s are alright as cheap backups. For mine, I do hear static and buzzing from my PC. Correct me if I'm wrong, this issue is due to the sensitivity of the IEM. They are really comfortable. I can wear them for hours and game. Till now, with Trips and IE8, I've not even given...

Opinions on replacement for UE SF3

Hi, my portable IEM- UE SF3 will require a replacement soon. It's been in use for over a year and a half, with ES2 cables. Although it is not one of the top tier IEMs I have, I use it when I commute and at work. It's performance and price suits my purpose, and I'd rather not want to worry about...

Can you trust this er4p conversion cable?

I'm interested in getting the adaptor, as I find the Etys cable rather long as it is- don't wish to extend the length any further. I use it when I commute, and my pockect is stuffed full of cable. I'd like to know if there is any difference in using an adaptor versus the Etys conversion...

Thinking of selling my westone 3's

Get the IE8s! I got the IE8 first then auditioned the W3, thinking that I may have made a wrong call. In the first few seconds of listening I immediately knew that the IE8 was the better phone for me. Like what others have said, try returning it. If you can't trade it for the IE8s. Beyond...

    IEM Optimization

This journey in looking for the best sounding IEMs to my ears has resulted in a small stockpile of earphones. I rotate them on a frequent basis and mix and optimise individual offering by pairing of cables and eartips. Before continuing, do note it is strictly from my view point, and I...

    IEM choice $400

IE8. If you have Atrios in your sights, then it is advisable that you go for IE8 instead. It will be an overall improvement. Cables are one of the better ones plus replacable. Only issue is the fit, and I resolve mine by using Audio technica silicon eartips.

    Bad Connection on IE8's?

I did have a word with the Sennheiser customer service agent in my region. They can customise the length for the cable, but nothing mentioned about the connector.

Another one from the Hippo family: Pearl

Hi, In the photo, there is a seam around the earphone body, and a glossy droplet close to the center. Is that adhesive? If it's so, does the earphone feel flimsy since it's glued?

Harmon Kardon EP730 SQ similar as ER4P?

To be more specific, my UE SF3 SQ is slightly altered. The original cable broke and I'm using it with ES2. I know that ever since I switched the cable, there is a existential difference from the stock condition. So in this regard, should I consider ER4P still? I listen to rock mostly, and I...

where do you go/not go with your headphones?

I find that with less expensive earphones, I tend to be more carefree. If I'm carrying an expensive IEM, I'd find myself constantly checking my shirt pocket to ensure that they're there. It depends also on what you do. If you're going to hang out at the cafe to read or work, it shouldn't be...

Harmon Kardon EP730 SQ similar as ER4P?

I've been eyeing the Etys ER4P for the longest time, but never had the opportunity to audition them. This is rather unfortunate because at this point of time I have the Trips and IE8 boths having very different sonic qualities. So today I chanced upon the Harmon Kardon EP730. I've read that...

Need Help Choosing a Successor to My Shure SE210's ($100-$150)

You may want to look at UE SuperFi 5 Pro. There may be a clearance since it's an older model, but the fit differs amongst users. For dual drivers, you may wish to check out UE 700, qJays, UM2, Westone 2, Phiatons. If you're willing to try dynamics, I'm sure you can save some cash. Do you...

    IEMs in Hong Kong

Just did some rough price conversion. It's not really a huge cost saving. Factoring the warranty issues, the cost difference makes up for it.

    IEMs in Hong Kong

Thanks for all the help. It's my first time entering HK, so I'm a little weary about being conned. I'm looking for a mix of low and high end, particularly Klipsch Image S2, Ortofon, Etys ER4P. Would keep it to 2 IEMs

    Sony E or B140 Vs Clip+

Hi folks, Like your advice on this issue. Before I got my mp3 player, I've been using my Nokia N81 handphone. But it drains my battery, so I got a Fuze recently. Somehow, I can't really find any love for it. The UI is unappealing and I was hoping to use Rockbox, but this is not possible...
