  Thanks. Yea, I've noticed they're pretty resilient. Just looking for something to protect them when in a backpack, car glove box etc. Also, when home I can't just leave them on my side table because my cats will chew the cords - - a serious first world problem.

Just got these and am pretty impressed. Anyone tried alternate tips? In particular, any tips that provide better isolation than the stock tips? Not a fan of Comply tips - any other foam comparable to the Shure olives that fit these?   Also, any suggestions on a case for these. Kind of an...

Re the 262 vs 400: Coming from my beloved and now broken RE0, which is more similar as a replacement? The 262 can still be found for $119, the 400's are $99. Or would I be better off grabbing some of the last RE0s for $79? (Kind of pissed my pair waited until after the H-D $49 blowout to break.)

Just want to chime in to say it's so sad to see these being phased out. Sure wish they'd follow Etymotic Research's example of selling beloved lines indefinitely.

Try some decored Shure olive tips. The depth will be just right and they'll stay put.

Jodiuh, I went from the 6i's to the RE0s -- better than a good solid upgrade. They're much better in every respect.

Once I got it started using a small, pointed knife I just used my fingernails to scrape the foam away from the core. As long as the core is separating without retaining any significant amount of foam you'll be fine no matter how much you brutalize the foam. As others have said, these things are...
