I held the button down for about 60 seconds, and nothing changed. The screen turns on, but it is dark gray and blank. When I shut it down, I hold it down again and it turns off. No yellow logo. Maybe I just got a bad unit and need to return it.

I just bought an R2, just took it out of the box and charged it for a few hours. All I get when I turn it on is a blank screen. No display, nothing to select. The on button is blue, but nothing on the screen. What am I doing wrong?

No, Windows 10. It was working fine until this week now all of a sudden it is not being recognized. Thankfully I have another DAC that I can use.

I tried that and it still isn't working. In fact, my computer won't even recognize the Sonata. Even though I have downloaded and installed the Sonata driver. I sent an email to TempoTec about the issue. We will see what they say. I've only had the Sonata since July.

So I picked one of the Apple lightning dongles for the heck of it. I think it works ok with Android. It won't get super loud for sure, but I have it about 3-4 steps away from the top and I can't imagine going any louder. It would be really loud.

Yeah, the cable for my previous one was, and I still have the cable. But the port on that old phone (and hence that cable) is USB micro, not USB C.

Because it isn't detachable. The cable is connected/soldered to the wall wart. It isn't a detachable USB cable like some chargers. It is the one that came with the phone.
