You need OTG cables. Maybe your short ones are OTG and the long ones are not?

Toneboosters just released an update to their Morphit plugin with a correction curve for the Bathys.

I didn't notice any resulting hollow sound from that dip with the new pads. But the Focal pads have a similar dip in relation to the neighboring frequencies, and I didn't hear any hollow sound before.

The app itself shows a graph, but without details of the frequency and amplitude, which would be nice to have. Obviously, having that would be great, but my guess is that they don't want users to be able to apply the corrections outside of the Mimi app.

I got my Dekoni sheepskin pads from Bloom Audio this week. Now I have to find the time to listen and compare the Focal and Dekoni pads...

Bloom Audio has the pads in stock. I changed my order to them (from BHphoto). And they have a frequency response graph on the page.

My bet is that the Bathys will not be replaced for a few more years. Focal's replacement timeframe for the Clear and Utopia was longer than it would be for replacing the relatively new Bathys at this point. And I suspect that any replacement will include WiFi access and not bandwidth-limited...

The leather case for the M15/M15i is available on Amazon US right now... I got one from AliExpress this past fall, and another didn't show up (I have put in a claim for a refund). The US price is higher, but it shows up (and does so much faster).

Well, I pre-ordered the Elite Sheepskin version from BHphoto... Based on reviews of the other Dekoni pads for wired Focal headphones, that version is likely to be most similar to the stock pads. At least I hope so!

In the fall, per some posts, Dekoni said they were working on Bathys pads for 2024 Q1 release, so it looks like they were showing them this week, and maybe there will be something available soon. It would be nice if they were real leather and/or an alcantara/velour type fabric, and don't ruin...

Cables with nylon sheaths often make a sound when rubbing against clothing. That's not electronic, but a physically-generated sound, like a rubbing or scratching, and the vibration travels up the cord and can be heard in earpieces. The silicone sheathing on cables like that Anker don't do that...

The headphones have to go back to Focal for battery replacement, but as noted, that will be a long time from now.

There's a ddHifi OTG lightning adapter that can send signal to a dongle via USB-C and accept power input. It's the ddHiFi TC28i. I have one on the Classified Forum for sale. It might address the issue; if you're interested, send me a PM and we can work something out.

What iPhone are you using? From what I've just read, the iPhone 15 can now output significantly more power to accessories than previous Lightning models, up to 4.5 watts @ 5V to accessories via USB-C. I also found this comparison video about dongles with the iPhone 15, including the Questyle M15:
