    I have just received my HUD-MX1 this morning and all I have to say is.... Wow! That is a world of difference to what I am used to! So much detail! The music literally comes to life. Just curious... Would it benefit from burn-in?

    It is a very good review, Well done! I was not sure if I should get the HUD-MX 1 (I am on a tight budget of about 200$ for a DAC/Headamp) but this review is getting me that closer to get it. My wallet is crying already...

    Just a quick update... I have received my iM590 today and my first impression is they sound great! way better than than the FX300s. I would definitely recommend those for anyone who likes metal/prog rock. Thanks to Joker for some great advice and to everyone who helped.

    Ok, let's resume what we have so far: M-Audio Q40 Denon 1000/1001 Equation RP-21 (Roalnd RH-200?) Read that the Q40 were neutral phones with some good bass, 1000 has more of a balanced sound. RP-21... I'll have to look into those, as for the Rolands. Thoughts? Suggestions?
