So, I'm buiding a millet hybrid on the DIYcable PCB....after many many weeks of waiting, finally got the enclsoure from par. finished the amp up, and set the bias, etc. Tested the DC offset...less than 3mv per channel...cool. Fired it up, and I'm not getting any sound from the left channel...

So, being the complete nutcase I am, I ripped off the stock cable from my SA5k's, and went ahead and recabled 'em with some ultra high purity oxygen free silver plated copper...couple discoveries! FIRST - the cable used on the SA1k and SA3k is the EXACT same as the cable used on the SA5k! oh...

In the PPA the power caps go from V- to V+, so it makes sense that they'd need to be rated for the supply voltage. But in the pimeta, the caps go from V- to ground, and V+ to ground...so couldn't you safely run caps rated for 1/2 the supply voltage? Of course, if your TLE failed, you'd get...
