I know this sounds counterintuitive to post this hear, but my meizu DAP crapped out on me after 6 years of service. I want to get a cheap but reliable DAP just for listening to podcasts. I'm using my wife's slicK mp3 player which is OK, but a bit hard to navigate. I'm looking to spend no more...

probably any of these denons: 2000, 5000, 7000.  I have the 2000 and love them but probably will upgrade to the others in the future.

i have the m3 and love it.  It was the only DAP that had a 10-band EQ that sounded natural at the time of purchase (2008).  I'll have to check out this new model.

I ,like you, will be shopping for a portable DAP in the near future.  Just from trolling around here, I think the DX100 might be the DAP to beat.  Never heard it for myself though.

I was thinking about getting the samsung galaxy s phone and adding the two above apps to it.  But then I found out that the samsung galaxy player 4.0 has a wolfson chip in it.  Is it possible to add these apps to this player? or are apps only for phones??   sorry for my newbieism...

bic camera is great, but unfortunately most of those cans cannot be tested out with your own music.  It's already hooked up in the back with whatever music they are putting through it.

I would love to hear someone do a comparison for myself as in the near future I think i'll be shopping for a new DAP...

I don't have the galaxy S, but I am considering getting the Galaxy Player and loading it w/ the PowerAMP.  You said it is great SQ, but how does it compare to other DAP like the imod, etc. I'm trying to find something better than my meizu M3 DAP and am wondering if this will be it or not.  ...

Scratch the UHA-4, spend the extra money and get the UHA-6.  it's well worth it.  Look for my review.
