I don't fully understand why EQ should be in front of time domain altering stuff. Can I read about this somewhere?

Why don't you put the EQ after Isone Pro? It looks like you're EQing to compensate for the headphones. Therefore you should have it right before your headphones, as if the EQ was in the headphones. Putting it before Isone makes Isone incorporate the EQ changes.

It's too bad they turned the bass up to the max for the tests. It would have been more useful if they tested them at their flattest response, whatever that would be.   Edit: ...but then you have to consider the intended market of these speakers...

I've got the HD600, which has no deep bass, so I EQ'd it using Electri-Q.

I feel like the 2.1 doesn't really have deep bass. There's just a huge midbass hump that never goes away even if the "subwoofer" is turned all the way down.

These would be so much better if they were blind. Can't you get someone to hook up the amps to the switch for you?

One day my friend was raving about his Skullcandy Hesh. I was interested, so I asked to listen to it. Bunch of crappy midrange! Slightly better than my cell phone.

I use a Pelikan M600 most of the time. I also have a M100 (in white; I got it because it reminded me of stormtroopers in Star Wars). I also use a Waterman Phileas often because it writes drier, which is better for some situations.

I like IEM's as they tend to isolate the best. I use RE0 with Comply tips cut short.

It probably can do 0 to 200kHz +-0dB because it probably doesn't do anything.   0 Hz is DC, by the way. Bad for headphones.

I bought Isone Pro and I'm really enjoying it. Right now I have it in a chain of two with Isone in front and Electri-Q in back using EffectChainer. Does anyone know of possibly better (faster/less glitchy) VST chainers?

Lunatique, Are you considering the Head-Direct HE-5(LE)? If not, why not?

I also recommend an ear cleaning. Wax or whatever (which might have been pushed around by the IEM) might be doing something weird to your ear.

I have the RE0 and I think I'd really enjoy the RE-ZERO, I think you should give it to someone with more experience in the studio and listening to reference-quality equipment. Therefore, I recommend Lunatique. I've read many of his posts and it seems he'd be able to write a good review that...

Most of what I see is stock iPod earbuds. After that is probably Skullcandy stuff that I don't pay enough attention to in order to identify. But once I saw a skater guy in a chemistry class I had wearing HD280's.
