I can't even straighten them out! I just picked them up a few days ago at a virgin megastore closing sale for $50. But the cables won't stay straight! Hanging a weight on them might damage the cables, so i just hung them on a clothes hanger I had and had the cables go down straight. This worked...

does the extra $30-40 really justify the performance or should i spend that money on a better amp?

i heard that the UM1's sacrifice a lot of clarity is this true? are there foams that could make it a little better (or do foams not help clarity? lol i don't know anything about IEM's) would an amp (i have a 5.5G ipod) help?

I need to buy one by tomorrow night (not using my own eBay account) are there any better IEM's for the same price? oh, and they're all Y-cords right? i don't want the yuins because of its J-cord (i think), it's not in ear and short cord length thanks
