Converting a 220V input power supply to 110V
It is indeed 220V only. When plugged into 110V nothing happens. I have been Using a step-up transformer. Since those power supplies that have the little switch in them aren't 2 completely different power supplies I figured a power supply could be re-done for 110V Seems like a waste...- SLUSHIE

Converting a 220V input power supply to 110V
What would be involved in making this happen? I have an amp that has 220V input, but since I don't live in europe it's somewhat annoying. I'm not asking for step by step obviously since I don't have any specifics on the output of the power supply or anything, just a general would would...- SLUSHIE

How do you know if a CMoy amp works properly?
Yeah, you should not be able to hear anything if its not on. As far as sound quality goes, I really don't notice my cmoy to make any difference other than being able to turn the volume up much higher than my Zune is capable of doing. If you have to sit for days or hours on end trying...- SLUSHIE

Mangled PX 200, Need Ideas
I have a pair of PX 200's that my dog ate. They are fine other than torn up pads, and I had to cut out chewed up arts of the cable leaving me with delicate soldered connections. I wondering if there is anything fun I can do with the drivers though, other than buying new parts and fixing...- SLUSHIE

Wire Though DT 700 Driver
So I finally decided to open up my cans to see if there was any hairs on the driver causing rattle. I've had these sitting aside for well over a year now because I was afraid to crack them open all the way. When I got them open, I actually did find many hairs clinging to the sticky driver...- SLUSHIE

Beyer 770 dt crackle
I didn't see any hairs in there. From my understanding the white tissue like paper isn't the actual driver, and I don't see how hair could really get through that. As cor the cable, the jack its solid, it cant be opened or anything, so I dont see how the joint would loose connectivity inside...- SLUSHIE

Beyer 770 dt crackle
I'm not sure how old they are, maybe 3 years, but I've noticed that the right side now makes a crackle sound. I actually haven't used them in months because its so annoying. I'm no tech or anything, but I opened them up, and to me I see no issues. No tears or anything. What can I do about...- SLUSHIE

Taking apart Senn PX200
looks to be the same. I thought maybe it snapped in but now that I know its glue it makes more sense. Sucks though. I notice the membrane on one of the drivers is punched in at one spot, do you think that effects the sound a lot?- SLUSHIE

Taking apart Senn PX200
Anyone know how to get these open? My dog chewed on the cable and bit it off right at where it exits the headphone. Cushions are messed up, found those online though. If anyone has any insight on how the black part pulls away from the white part (I have the white ones) I'd appreciate it...- SLUSHIE

Cheapish headphones.
I'm looking to get a pair of headphones for a girl as a Christmas present. She is just using the normal ipod ones that don't fit in her ears. I want to get her something along the lines of a px-100 in function... but not price or sound quality. I found a pair of JVCs that are somewhat similar...- SLUSHIE

Cleaning Pads?
I have a pair of Beyerdynamic 770 pros with red leather pads on them. The leather is starting to look pretty nasty where I grab them all the time with my hands. Any methods of cleaning then without removing the color?- SLUSHIE

matrix200 this is the adapter that came with my unit when I bought it. MD Community Page: Xitel MDPORT-DG2 Like I said, it only puts out 16bit. That could also be a reason why the popping stopped though.- SLUSHIE

So I dug for the box my amp came in and got the USB adapter thing and I have yet to hear a pop. Its been playing for about 2 hours. So I went into the settings and the highest output for it is 16bit. Its has bass and treble boost so that's kinda cool- SLUSHIE

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
My Zero makes pop/crackling sounds just like matrix200's seems to, only mine does it after about an hour or so of running time. There are a few things that I think it could be. First off, the optical output. My PC can output DTS audio, Dolby Digital, and WMA Pro Audio. I've never used WMA...- SLUSHIE
