Well, most of the recordings I first listened to were anemic, so they sounded meatier, which was nice. But a lot of neutral, and slightly bassy stuff is just annoying. I tried making bigger holes in the pads, then my ears touch the drivers, and it sounds bad. That whole honkyness thing comes...

Uhm.. Some sortof humpy bass dark sounding annoyingness. Maybe I should order the regular grado comfies, or maybe I'm on crack? Maybe I need to do something different?

I just find it annoying that I can hear ambient detail in the treble and upper midrange frequencies, as well as reverberations, and etc. Cymbal taps, upper frequency instruments such as high hats, cow bells, triangles, sound more natural. There is also more definition in the midbass frequencies...

They definitely dont sound bright, which is sortof what I expected with my experiences with my SR80s way back in the day.... They don't approach the HD600 in overall sound quality, but they definitely approach them for value, especially at this kindof price.

If these are the only two phones you want to consider, if you'll be running around outside and whatnot, the V6. Otherwise, the SR60s, or just about any other Grado headphone, will produce sound at a higher level of quality.

Oh, god. These headphones are so awful. Bass heavy, treble recessed, poor midrange, overall veiled sound, just atrocious. I tried removing the protective cloth things in my earcups. They sounded like a pair of Grados, harsh, grainy, disgusting, no bass. I personally prefer the Sony MDR-V600...

Most WinModems use LUCENT chipsets, which are almost all supported now. Anyone using AOL would not be interested in Linux, unless they were using AOL because they were forced to for some reason.

Not suprising. All of the current desktop managers are memory hogging plethoras of unstable code. Except for maybe XFCE, but I havent tried that out in a long time. Last I used unices for any graphical stuff, I didnt even use a window manager because they consume so many resources and do so...
