    Magic: The Gathering

I mostly played the urza block in middle school. It was a lot of fun but I think it might be a little tough for an older player to jump back in. Especially when considering how much the game dynamics change with each block. Still, picking up an old deck and playing with friends is always fun.

    SHAKE IT UP-CA EARTHQUAKE

I felt it in Alhambra. Like the majority, no real damage to report save for a few knocked over ornaments here and there.

My Core 2 Duo idles at 50C... What to do?

I suggest you take off the heatsink and reapply the thermalpaste to see if reseating helps. Also, make sure your case fans are clean because that may also be a cause of increasing temperatures over time.

First trip to USA; where to spend 4th of July in California

x2 for avoiding Disneyland on the 4th of July. I am a Los Angeles resident who visits Disneyland often and I can tell you from first hand experience that Disneyland will very, very busy on 4th of July. If you are set on visiting Disneyland it would be best to go on a day during the week and as...

Rate The Last Movie You Watched

"The Dead Poets Society" 9/10 - DPS is a great film on so many levels. I attended an all-boys private high school, and even though this film is set in a different era, it definitely struck a chord with me. Robin Williams does a fantastic job of portraying free thinking teacher who inspires his...

Funny this thread came up. My sister is in girl scouts and we have over 200 boxes sitting the den as i type this. I love the Thin Mints. Those things are the best when put into the freezer and mixed with vanilla ice cream.

Which is your favorite Steely Dan Record?

Darn! I meant to vote Gaucho and clicked Aja by mistake. Glamour Profession, Babylon Sisters and Hey Nineteen are my favorites from this album. Personally, I am a huge fan of Fagen's cryptic lyrics. It is usually hard to figure out what Steely Dan songs are about from just one listen, a prime...

    What's you ultimate bass moment?

The Eagles - Hell Freezes Over (XRCD version) - Hotel California (live) After the acoustic guitar intro (around 30 secs) the Bass Drum kicks that follow are astounding. They have such definition and depth its hard to fathom. I have yet to find a "bass moment" I enjoy more.

my se530s broke again and I need your help

This might sound a little underhanded, but given shure's method of handling the issue at hand, it might not be too out of the question. Here is my idea, buy a pair of Se500's from an authorized retailer to obtain an invoice and return the purchased pair for a refund. I'm not sure how many Shure...

    Donald Fagen - Damn!

Donald Fagen's album, The Nightfly, has been in heavy rotation in my car for sometime and I absolutely love it. Steely Dan is without question one of my favorite bands. I've even been accused of being obsessed with them, which in my eyes isn't a band thing. It's a shame that the majority of my...

What are you going to ask Santa?

An A in my O-Chem class and maybe a pair of HD650's with decent amp to go along with it. The former probably isn't going to happen unfortunately, but at least I have a chance at getting some HD650's.
