MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones

I saw this review and it seems to share the same impressions I have on the Ether C Flows.   http://headfonics.com/2016/12/the-ether-c-flow-by-mrspeakers/

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones

I would say the Jotun is good and still involving/engaging.  Tonally everything sounds right and dynamics are good.  It is also still nice and smooth.  I would not say its too cold but its not as harmonically rich as the Mjolnir 2 with the HG75 tubes.  It sounds like good solid state (I am...

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones

Just adding my 2 cents to the Ether C Flow discussion.  I have owned a pair for around 2 months and have found them to be a very amp dependent headphone.  I have tried them in a number of amps.  Some surprising results are that off a Gilmore Balanced Reference they had too much bass and showed...

Woo Audio 2 Drive Tube Rolling

I was curious if anybody has any advise or knowledge of the WA2 and the following tubes in the drive stage? 7DJ8 6BZ7 6BZ8 6AQ8 6BK7 6BC8 6BQ7 Since my amp is not moving on the sale forum I figure I would roll a few tubes and their are some really cheap variants out there.

What about the JAN Sylvanias 7308 or would you still recommend the 6922 version. Corey Quote: Originally Posted by Skylab What are the stock tubes? 6922's will have a little more gain than 6DJ8's. Try the JAN Sylvanias - they are better than the JAN Phillips.

I have a maxed out WA2 and I am wondering if there is a way to get a little more gain out of the preamp? I am currently using the Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8s. While I love the SQ I would like to be able to get a little more volume when used as a preamp.

Vacuum Tube Ceramic Rattle In Base

I just received a set of Tung Sols for my WA2, the box they came in was pretty beat up by USPS. While I was removing them from the packaging I noticed a slight rattle. After examining them I found at the bottom of the tubes inside the glass dome where the wires all come in there is quite a bit...

Tubes Used in Preamp Fuction of Woo Audio 2

I have read in another thread that the power tube is not used in the circuit for the preamp out on the Woo Audio 3 is this also true for the Woo Audio 2? Corey

More portable amps should have a bassboost (like lisa) and crossfeed (like 3move)

What about the XM5 Practical Devices Corporation

    Amp for HD650: New Guy.

There is always the "Corda Move" and this would give him a USB DAC which is infinitely better then what is outputted by the computer stock and the move would give him crossfeed plus its a Meier amp so its going to be good.
