When upgrading gears, it's always recommended to start with headphones. Then, an amp to pair with your headphones. DAC would come last in the upgrade chain. You'd be surprised how indifferent cheap vs. expensive DACs are.

I'm never parting with my HD600. That's for sure.

I have both. The staging is way bigger on the V2. The sound on the Organic is much more intimate and forward. It's not something you notice if you only listen to one or the other, but when you compare them side-by-side, the difference is not so subtle.

The V2s are still excellent headphones. I personally preferred it over the HEKV2. Between the Stealth and the Organic, I would pick the Organic 10 out of 10 times. From what I remember, it's just a better version of Stealth, IMHO. However, with the V2, the choice is not so obvious.

I was just going to add to my previous post but, yes, I think the Organic is technically superior than the V2. But I'm still not sure which one I like more. I think what I was feeling yesterday about the wall of sound and the haziness from the V2 are actually from the V2 reproducing the sound...
