Hey guys, I am buying a pair of Klipsch RF3 II from someone for $500. (Is this a good price?) Since I am a newbie in regards to speakers, what would be a good way to test them so that they sound perfectly without any defects?

I know but with tax and everything it will be around $150~ish. I also thought about ER4Ps as well but their lack of bass is what turns me down on them

I initially aimed to get the SE530 but I realized how much I was spending on a pair of headphones. ($350) I know that more expensive phones are better but UM1 seems to be the "sweet spot" for under $150.

Title says it all. What do you guys think it's better? Please note that I dont really have a preference in music. I listen to anything that has a chord in it.

Does anyone know if Klipsch has strict with honoring warranty as well? Buying from ebay is about $200-220 where as most of retailers sell them for $240 & up.

We are not a seller of this item so we know as much as you do.

Elnero, I initially chose X10 as they were about $100 cheaper. In your opinion, do you think SE530 (or vise versa) will perform $100 better than X10s/ Also, I don't find X10 to be too comfortable but this is something that I'll get used to

Also, Other than the headphones we have discussed, (except SA6) would there be any headphones thats less than $200 but perform better than Atrios? My experience with Atrios werent that great. They sounded very muddy to be although the bass was very controlled and tight.

Hey scythe, I do have the MDR-V6 but i use it very seldomly. As I will be commuting to school (1.5 hour bus ride) I need something as small as my Atrio M5 as I don't like to carry big headphones on me.
