Has the fake ath-m50 arrived?
100% fake dude, such a poor attempt too, the headband just looks totally screwed up, and the pcb on the drivers is green... There's no doubt about it. Quote:- meizumintyboi

Best all around headphones under $250
whatever you do, steer clear of the Beats, all overpriced and sound bad especially at their price point... I could easily recommend the ATH-M50's I LOVE THEM Others all full-sized, over ear closed backs (from what I've read over the years) Please check my profile to see my...- meizumintyboi

ath m50, ultrasone 580 or something else? thanks
unless you're planning on using them for travelling a lot on noisy transport, then I would suggest active noise cancelling cans... however most closed cans usually do a good job of passive noise isolation, I would say that they would definitely do the job for noise isolation even when on...- meizumintyboi

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
My first attempt at a Y split headphone cable for some broken portapros that were broken off ebay for just £5. (please excuse the ghetto Y split, I only had some belkin ofc speaker wire, which is quite thick, initially I wanted to use a spare 6.0 OD neutrik barrel as a splitter, but...- meizumintyboi

I was actually using a 3 braid, as speaker wire was too thick for the barrel, but if you can get 4 cables into the termination then that's the best way, I split the ground at the split and soldered on the extra 2 grounds, for each driver, used some electrical tape, then aluminium tape on tape...- meizumintyboi

Has anyone ever tried Beats Studios with an amp?
Not tried it myself.. I don't see why not. My friends cousin had 3 pairs of solo's (not sure if they were hd, prob not) and 1 pair of studio. Yes he is an idiot lol... But I listened to them and they're about 5 times worse than the studios, which are pretty bad, and especially at...- meizumintyboi

B&W P5 Headphones: An Unboxing of the Bowers & Wilkins P5 Headphones
Well for the ultimate silence, without having to crank up the volume too much I believe the Bose Q15, is one of the best and highly favored on here. I haven't done a 1on1 comparison with these but have heard all of Bose's headphones in the past and the P5's not too long ago. I know...- meizumintyboi

Porta Pro Alternative Housing/Headband and Ear Foam Suggestions Please
ok after doing some research, the ksc75 has the same headband connector as the portapro, as you can install the ksc75 drivers into the portapro headband, and from one of the threads I found that 1 of the headphones I was looking should fit with my portapro drivers. I managed to find them...- meizumintyboi

Porta Pro Alternative Housing/Headband and Ear Foam Suggestions Please
Hi everyone, I recently bought some broken portapros off ebay for just £5, I've soldered tha cable back onto the drivers, and re-terminated with a neutrik mini. The left side of the headband which holds the left driver housing has snapped off. Originally I was going to use them inside some...- meizumintyboi

It's just the generic el cheapo 3.5mm connector you can get anywhere in the world online or from your local stores. Personally I wouldn't go cheaper than the Neutrik REAN 3.5mm less than £/$1, or if you can step it upto Switchcraft's 3.5mm, or many premium connectors.- meizumintyboi
