DT990... interesting. Didn't realize it was within the price range. Would the uDAC-2 properly drive it though?

Thought it over, and now open to both open & closed headphones. Really thinking about AD700, but lack of bass worries me. Really looking for something with decent bass, mids, and soundstage. Is Beyer DT770 my best bet?

Assuming price is equal for these three, would the general ranking from worst to best be: Audio-Technica ATH-M50, Beyer DT770 Pro 80, Denon D2000?

Can't say for  sure yet... I just know my friend's speaker sounded a lot better (tighter bass) when using the E5. Again it's almost redundant but I got it anyways b/c it was practically a steal

Yea, mine were buzzing in the left as well after I did the kramer mod. I removed the driver cover to check if there was any debris in there. My eyees didnt see anything, but I took a can of compressed air and sprayed the driver from a safe distance. I played some music before putting the driver...

*Sigh*... After a year of quitting the head-fi addiction, I am back again. I used to own Grado SR-60, Sony 7506, Sennheiser 497, and Audio Technica A900 (upgrading slowly). Sold them all since, and now my scrappy Koss KSC-75 (kramer modded) have been serving me well off my Echo Indigo along...

My volume knob broke in two and I need to glue it back on the axis. Has anyone ever tried opening the Echo? It's snapped together, and I'm worred about messing up anything that's delicately put together.

I plan on using my Klipsch Promedia 4.1 with the original Echo Indigo (discontinued, but ebay-able). It has two headphone outs, which works fine with a 4.1 system as it only needs 2 plugs. Haven't heard how it sounded yet though, but it should at least be as good if not better than a Chaintech...

Any other input out there?

Hi all, I'm stuck between an Indigo card and Audigy NX. I know Indigo is leagues better than Audigy, but hear me out. I'm mainly using my Klipsch Promedia 4.1 speakers out of my IBM T42. So if I were to use an Indigo, I'd have to use a splitter for the system to work, and that would worsen...

Is it High-speed USB 2.0 (real fast) or Full-speed USB 2.0 (slow, just a tad faster than usb1.1)? I read somewhere that most mp3 flash players say usb2.0, but doesnt transfer at USB2.0 speeds.
