The DAC arrived today. Nicely built. My laptop recognized it immediately as an amanero combo 384. Listening to some Elis Regina on it to warm it up: The beauty of this thing is that I can connect it in place of my Lampizator Atlantic without changing any settings. Very happy so far!

It was out of my price range also. My original budget was around $2500. But I went ahead and stretched it to get the Atlantic, and I am glad I did!

There is a dedicated Lampizator thread at Audiocircle.  Your analog setup is very nice. I still listen to needledrops (digital transfers) I made years ago of my best LP's played back on my VPI setup. With the Atlantic, they sound as close to the real thing as I have ever heard!

I have just purchased an Atlantic as well. My budget was originally $2.5K but heck, I think I'm worth it ;-) 

It means the streamer will output DSD but in the DoP format (DSD over PCM). We need to double check if Lampizator DACs accept DoP or native DSD input. The manufacturer of your D100Pro also needs to clarify if the supplied USB port can be used to connect a DAC to it. 

It seems USB is used to connect a HD to the device, like on the original Squeezebox Touch. Eventually there was a workaround on the latter so that the USB port could be used to connect a DAC to it. I wonder if this can be done to your device with a firmware upgrade of some sort.

I think I'm going for the Atlantic. Ain't cheap but being touted as the best DAC in the world is serious praise. It's only money.. ;-)
