Thanks to English fish and chips, GB is one of the few place where newspaper makers have not suffered. Yggdrasil and Mjolnir 2 (MJ2) would be slightly over budget at $3150. MJ2 and a Gungnir MB dac would be 2100 ish. Gungnir MB and a Ragnarok would be 2950. All the combinations would be balanced the entire path. The entire Schiit line offers great "bang for the buck" in my opinion.

The five pieces of Schitt gear I've bought have all been good sounding gear. Three are my current headphone setup and the other two my older son uses. I respect Mr. Moffat both as a designer and a listener. If he is willing to modify his quest for good music I'll try it too.

I've been chasing High Fidelity (with the definition of fidelity being " the degree of exactness with which something is copied or reproduced") for a long time. I'll buy a MP when it come out of course, but it will seem odd that the goal isn't hearing exactly what was recorded.

My previous Dap was a Cowon D2 so the options the X5 has are staggering. Fiio music in folder mode seems to sort by filename. Unfortunately my filename convention is track# - title. Can I tell it to sort by title or would it be easier to use MP3Tag to mass edit the filenames?

I bought 2 200 GB Sandisk mSD cards to put my flacs on. Both had the flacs put into a music folder then put into the X5 at the same time.
