Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]

Im enjoying my new Sleek Audio IEM's for about a week now and I really like them . Great sound, very low profile (they're so small ) and they are not being picky about my source at all. Btw, the IEM's are being all hairy on the second picture (both are clickable), thats...

    Size of SA6 in-ear?

Oh no, i just received my SA6's. But they have clearly been used. The seal of the package (the one with the earphones inside, which was in an other package) was broken, there where scratches on the traveling case, glue on one of the earphones and the silcon's seemed dirty. Awww . Well...

EMU 0404 USB DVD audio through headphone jack

Quote: I know I could just use the headphone jack on my receiver or send the sound from my receivers analogue out to the 0404s inputs but the headphone jack on my receiver is fairly low quality and I would rather not have to tie up the 0404 inputs. I was wondering if there was any way to...

    Sony Walkman®

I wish (and i thought, untill i say some movies a while back) it was (alot) smaller. Something similar to the ipod nano g1/g2/g4 would be alot more portable in my opinion. The size of flash based DAP's are getting bigger each year. I hate the idea that an flash-based mp3 player would be about...

0404 usb need help...OK with foobar but no sound in Windows media player.

I dont know if this is what you mean, but with the EMU-0404USB in ASIO mode there can only be one source. If you close foobar, the device should be accepting (kmixer) streams again. What does VLC say when you try to play the movie? (i ask this since VLC uses his own codecs most of the time...

    Size of SA6 in-ear?

Hellow there fellow head-fi'ers and ofcourse the Sleek Audio Crew . I am currently thinking about getting some new IEM's since the 3.5mm-connector-housing of my Aurvana's is loose and slowly getting even looser (damn you ultra-tight 3.5mm jack sockets). I am now considering either the Shure...

    Sound card advice

CPU usage is indeed an non-issue, especially with the speed of any modern pc these days. I am using the EMU0404 for quite a while (an year and a half I think) and its still putting an smile on my face every time I turn it on and listen to the refined, fully controlled sound its able to send...

Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]

Far from audiophile quality, but its pretty awesome to be able to stream music from all around the world (including my pc at home) 24/7 with a HSDPA connection. My Aurvana's are too sensitive though, their 115dB/mW sensitivity is too high to use it in combination with a noisy source like...

Impressions Meet @ Hans from Qables 16-03-08

[Camera talk] The camera i have is indeed an Pentax K110D, which uses the same 6MP Sony CCD used in the Nikon D50 (old one) and the Nikon D40. Pentax was the latest with the 6MP CCD so they had enough time to fine tune the noise-reduction algorithm, with pretty good results in my opinion...

I'm pretty late with this (busy week), but i still had to post 'something' here, well, at least some pictures. But first..., a big thanks to Hans for organizing the meet! I haven't listened to allot of the gear available, and i somehow missed the DT-990's (i wanted to hear them badly, but...

I don't know about you guys, but using the EMU-0404 for games and especially with movies is IMO very pleasing. I even threw my Soundblaster Live! out of my new pc into some random hardware box lying around, since i was only using it for some crappy speakers, and onboard will do speakers just...

Hmm, i don't care about all the ad's in head-fi, because i know that someone has to pay for the bandwidth, and i ain't contributing. But camouflaging the ad as a reply on the first post every page is just absurd!
