    Naim DAC

It would be a good idea to track down a dealer who can demo both units for you as Linn and Naim have a very differnet house sound. The opinion seems to be polarised.   I prefer a Naim digital source as I find Linn digital to be too laid back. YMMV.   Naim NDS sound wonderful in friend' rig...

    Naim DAC

Still yet to be released in the wild. I have heard a proto type and sounded good using a bare X2-2 and HDX. ( with and without 555PS ) Haven't played around with it but got the feeling that it had a different presentation from their CD players.

All Naim products are single ended and the DAC is equipped with a set of DIN and RCA analogue outputs.

Oh dear. A poor Nait 3.

    Naim DAC

Oh dear. Does the Uniti have a digital input? I am leery of All-in-One type of unit ( for one thing I would think it's noisy ) but at least it should retain the Naim voicing.

I haven't dealt with a Uniti, but was it at least on par with Nait5i-2/CDi-2 ?

Just to get a taste of a Naim DAC, you can try a DAC that's in the SuperNait. Altho, I assume a stand alone unit would be even better considering the price. I preferred it over the Lavry DA10. ( playing HDX ripped files via an HDX )

A NAP 300 is a dual mono inside, IIRC. So you get ch1. ch2. XLR for each channel.

Naim power amps from NAP 250 and up always have had XLR outs to the power amp.

well, it's a wrong source for a NAHA for sure because the set up didn't work.

DeJanM, Nice to see you again. GS1000. I had a brief listen and didn't much care for what it did. Not sure if it's worth the extra over the RS1 to be honest. I actually prefer the 325i over them. :x NAHA/NAPSC does work with the RS1, but I highly recommend getting the HC2 for the pair. (...

That's a very nice set you have. Btw, transparency issue is somewhat misleading as it improves with the source and PSU upgrade amongst other things! I do wish they will come up with a Reference Series NAHA someday. ( the one with floating brass circuit board )

The best PSU you can use with a NAHA is a SuperCap2. A better supply certainly gives a good performance boost but maybe depends on the 'fones you use. Whilst I heard a goodness of a SC2 with a RS1, I would have had a hard time justifying 6k on it. Switching 'fones to AT W5k, I still miss...

It would be interesting to see how you get on with the G1000. Which I have not tried it with mine but I loved the RS1 with a Krell kps25s.
