Are there any worthy Christmas presents left or did you guys pick all of the meat off of the bone?

I slipped mine on today for the first time in a while and plugged in the WA2 with a pair of 421A tubes installed. Sounds mighty fine. Unfortunately, that probably won't deter me from making another purchase. Glad that doing so works for someone.

I understand that it might be a bit pricey but the Tubulus Argentus is a nice custom I2S.

I've always used the cool stand. That probably helps too.

The fan manufacturer makes a low noise adapter cable that you can, at your own risk, install. It reduces but does not eliminate the amount of noise from the fan. Let me be clear. I am not advising anyone to install adapter. I can say that with good clearance all around, my amp has not had any...

I solved the fan noise to my satisfaction a while back. SPM02 modules are on order. I just installed my new Transparent SUPER balanced cables. I'm good for now.

As far as I am concerned, this is a personal choice that only you can make for yourself. I don't get into cable debates.

The firmware update seems to have resolved the issue with my ET-3. I also noticed that the indication that I was able to use DSD512 over coax is no longer occurring. Time to order the I2S interconnect.

I received an email from Shanling yesterday. They told me that a firmware update that is coming next week will fix this problem. I am hoping that it does. The transport sounds great with my R26.

Can you answer this question? The Gustard uses pin15 to switch between PCM and DSD. 0 is PCM and 1 is DSD. The Shanling has DSD_DET on pin16. It is the question if this also is used to switch between PCM and DSD. So 0 for PCM and 1 for DSD.

It sounds like you are saying that DSD or upsampled to DSD works but does not display correctly on the R26. Is that correct? Also, does this require a custom cable?

I have looked at the I2S pinout on my Gustard R26 and the pinout on the ET3 and there appears to be a mismatch. I have not wanted to try I2S now I would like to try it with this player. Can someone tell me how to solve the connection mismatch? Is there a cable recommendation?

Added the Muzg Audio op amps to my voltage gain stage. :relaxed:
