Foobar2K v0.9.5.3 does not like single track Flac file?
I recently upgraded to v0.9.5.3, and starting to get file path exception when I point fb2k to a folder with multiple single track flac files. I remember it worked with lower version of fb2k. And the new one is still working with single track ape files. Any one has the similar experience?- pftrvlr

MHDT Havana DAC
The concept of leaving out op-amp and using tube buffer in DAC is just what I am looking for. But I balk at the 900 price tag.- pftrvlr

Something better than Wooaudio 3

Something better than Wooaudio 3
Yeah, it does not drive low z phone. And I like 6SN7 tube much better than 6AS7 regardless the topologies. I use three larger resistors in parallel in place of R5/R6. Still they run hot.- pftrvlr

Something better than Wooaudio 3
The schematic is based on this one with slight change of component values http://headwize.com/projects/showfil...aarde1_prj.htm The output capacitors are Panasonic TSHA 470uf bypassed by Russian oil cap. The PSU filter capacitor are 8 10uf MKP in parallel. AC heater supply. Tried the...- pftrvlr

Something better than Wooaudio 3
I had the Wooaudio 3 before, and did not like the flat sounding. I sold the amp, but still have quite a few 6dj8 and 6as7 tubes left. Being wanting to put the tubes to good use, I built this DIY headphone amp. After two weeks tweak and listening, I'm glad that it sounds better than the Woo 3...- pftrvlr

Bada PH12 vis-a-vis Meixing MC66AE and Lehmann BC
The stock volume pot is pretty decent, I am planning to keep it. My DAC has digital volume control. I don't hear much noise, though I have really compare it to a pot.- pftrvlr

Bada PH12 vis-a-vis Meixing MC66AE and Lehmann BC
Black Stuart, My goal is to re-use the transformer and case of Bada to create an all tube headphone amp. I will take the minimalist approach. The bada MOSFETs draw power from separate transformer winding and rectifier than the tube section. As it is running in class A mode, it is generatig...- pftrvlr

Bada PH12 vis-a-vis Meixing MC66AE and Lehmann BC
I posted the schematic of Bada. If I were to design the amp myself, I'd have done it differently. But, I have to admit that Bada sounds pretty good - I mean that Bada I have right now, which has no MOSFET in the output. It can only drive my DT880, not the 701. However I am listening to the...- pftrvlr

Doge 6210 HP amp - good tube combos.
To my ears, two 12AX7 GE long plates and two Chinese 6P14 sound muddy and flat. My favorite matches for Chinese 6p14 are Sovtek 5751 or JJ ECC803S.- pftrvlr

Cothode follower with parafeed transformer output?
Yeah, I got this blown Mosfet PH12 from a trade. I intended to just replace the dead Mosfet. But after looked at inside the amp, I decided not to bother the Mosfet. It is way too complicated and crowded to my like. I took out all the Mosfet and related parts, that almost accounts for half the...- pftrvlr
