Burson or Cavalli or Audio GD for Audeze
Trying to get an amp for my LCD-X. Narrowed it down to these 4 for best synergy with the Audeze. Massdrop CTH + SDAC Audio GD Nfb-28 Burson Soloist Burson Conductor With Burson's I will have to get a DAC. The audio-gd's and massdrop's seem too good to be true for the price! Has anyone heard all...- wackydesigner

Mcintosh + Dacmagic = HORRIBLE DISTORTION!
I have the PS3 > Dacmagic > Mcintosh MA6900 Integrated > B&W 805S When I turn the Dacmagic volume up (and obviously the Macs down) the sound starts distorting, horribly. But when I turn the DAC vol halfway, the distortion is gone....the same thing when I use the IPAD > Airport Express. But...- wackydesigner

gotcha thanks guys. I think I'll get a receiver and run it through there. At least the headphone out on the reviver should be adequate. -
Headphone (f) to Stereo RCA (m) - Will this work?
I'm trying to connect my Headphones (Senn HD 555) directly to my Samsung TV so I can watch my movies/play my PS3 in peace. What I need is a 1/4" > RCA jack like this....my questions is, will I still get stereo? If so, what is a really good quality one you guys recommend? Example...- wackydesigner

Gotta keep only one....(beyer or grado)
Ok guys I just scored a Grado SR 325is which only had 50-60 hrs on it. I was using the Beyer DT880. My dilemma is this......which one do I keep? The Grado's are much more present but I also like how the Beyer handles the separation and gives a wider soundstage and of course, more comfy. I...- wackydesigner

Recommend me some canz, not impressed with Grado SR-125s
I can't believe some of these recommendations! The Grado and Sennheiser sounds are completely different-night/day difference. IMO: The closest thing to keeping the detail and dynamics with a more defined bass are the Beyer DT 880.- wackydesigner

First Night with SR60s
Here is the breakdown of Grados as best as I can offer. Im a newbie so take it with a grain of salt: SR60: Detailed, Light Bass SR80: Detailed, Tighter Bass SR125: More Detailed, Tighter Bass, Somewhat Bright, good separation SR225: Very Detailed, Liquid Mids, Tight Bass, great separation...- wackydesigner

Please help me upgrade from Sennheiser HD-497, for more bass.
Keep in mind that as you go higher up in the Senn range, you will need an amp to drive the phones. Especially the 600s. I owned the 497 for a while and thought it was an amazing headphone before listening to 580s (discontinued), which completely shattered my view of the 497.- wackydesigner

Ipod Line Out vs Dock Line Out
Really? Does that "cleanness" translate equally well even through the Dock or does performance suffer since now there is one more thing between the player and the amp? Quote: Originally Posted by scottiebabie whoopsy dooosy! in that case both Apples Uni Dock & LODs should provide...- wackydesigner

Ipod Line Out vs Dock Line Out
Hey guys, Serious advise needed. I need some way to hook up my ipod touch to my upcoming amp. Ipod Touch> ? >DV 336i>DT880 I just ordered the Apple Universal Dock so i could use the mini jack line out from that to RCA. That way i can use the same cable to my laptop as well. The other...- wackydesigner

I want God to sing to me.....!
...for a reasonable price that is. I have a Grado 125 at the moment. No amp. I've grown tired of these cans because they seem to always shout at me. Its exciting yes, but not very relaxing for extended play. I've heard the Senns and they bored me to sleep. I want to get Beyer 880 or AKG...- wackydesigner
