My UM3X will be off to westone RMA and I need a decent cheap backup in the meantime.

I get this digital static-like sound from time to time. Like crackling almost. Happens in music, movies, etc but never when nothing is playing. Can I fix this?

My PC has weird noise whenever I do something on my pc like scroll around or opening a program. Correlates exactly. It doesn't matter if I use onboard sound or my creative 24-bit sound card. Will getting a usb DAC solve this problem?

For vocals, most songs have them right in the middle, yes? For a while now the vocals have shifted to be coming from the right more and its very frustrating for me. I don't hear anything like this outside of headphones.
