I've heard UBC-C allows more wattage to be delivered to devices, does that mean when USB-C based DACs or combos start to come out, they will be less likely to require a separate dedicated power connection? I'm always looking for ways to streamline my desk's cable management!

I need more desk space so I want to sell my Audio-gd Compass external DAC/AMP and get an internal Xonar Essence STX soundcard. I want the sound quality to be at least the same. It would be driving AKG K702s only.   Would the Asus be as good or better than the Compass?
