[REVIEW] HifiMan RE400 ‘Waterline’ – The New Reference
It looks like they are ported. Do they leak any sound out when listening? My previous t-jays leaked an awful lot which made them less usefull for me. Thanks in advance!- Deftoned

JAYS v-Jays appreciation thread, though I have not listened to them thread .
To my ears they do sound better than both the PX100 and the very popular PortaPro.- Deftoned

etymotic hf5 hurt my ears, cant find a good fit
Try the smaller baby blue tri-flanges, I find them giving me a good seal and they are a lot more comfortable too, than the larger tri-flanges.- Deftoned

My vintage receiver headphone out sounds better than my Woo Audio
That´s very nice to hear! Congrats! I used to own an old NEC integrated amp that I preffered to the Millet Max I had at the time driving AKG K601 and AKG Sextetts.- Deftoned

Am I hearing what I think I'm hearing?
Sounds to me like it might have been an issue with the seal of the earphones that caused the drastical difference.- Deftoned

Which one for me? (I did my homework, I swear! ;)
Hi Jazz9! If I remember correctly several of the early posters in the Zero-thread used their HD600 together with the zero and reported excellent results.- Deftoned

Which one for me? (I did my homework, I swear! ;)
Hello Jazz9, I have tried all of the headphones that you are considering except the DT48e, although admittedly not under the best conditions always. We also seem to have quite similar taste in music. To me the HD600 is the clear best choice. I do not think that the HD555 and HD600...- Deftoned

Poll: PX 100 vs PortaPro vs EH 350
Hi rault. Since all of the headphones you mention are of open design there will not be a lot of isolation to speak of. I have not tried the EH350s, but the PX100 and PortaPro will not give you any isolation at all. For soundquality I prefer the PortaPro over the PX100. If you want...- Deftoned

Truly exciting gear?
This might not be the answer that you are looking for. But from my experience, there is not going to be a single piece of gear that will do this for you. Although I will leave my mind open for such a product to exist. I think that the possibility for you to get a recommendation for such a...- Deftoned

Whitout any personal experince what so ever. I think you should check out the new Sony XB headphones. The name and construction makes me think they'll have plenty of bass. Good luck!- Deftoned

Suggestions for cans that are circumaural, closed and have awesome mids/highs?
Quote: The AKG K271S or the newer replacements/derivatives would almost a sure bet. I'll second this.- Deftoned

Koss Porta Pro... Upgrade
As long as he is about to use it portably I don't think it's good to opt. for any Grados more than the iGrado. I prefer the K414 to the unmodded K81DJs I've tried. The headband is quite small on the K81 aswell and do not fit all head well. The cord is also very long 2,5m(~8'). If he can...- Deftoned

WHAT ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HEADPHONES EVER MADE?
Although I have not seen them in real life I think the ATH W5000 look amazing! Closely followed by my ATH W100. I think the nice wooden cups of some of the ATH W-series looks a lot nicer than the L3000(never seen IRL either though) since I'm not a big fan of leather.- Deftoned

Koss Porta Pro... Upgrade
Hi ElephantTLK! I'm not to sure you're brother will see a step up in soundq. from any of those headphones. Personally I really liked my AKG K26P, which are the same as the 414. If you opt for the AKG make sure you pick the 414 and not the 416 because that model is inferior in soundq. I belive...- Deftoned

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
Hey all! I recently bought a HA ELEC mini dac from AudiophileChina. It uses the same DAC-chip as the Zero aswell as the same type of OPA's. I haven't gotten around to switch them out yet, although I already have a pair of LT1364's at hand. I was just wondering if it's possible to use 3*1364...- Deftoned
