Best: HD650s - After burn-in they are simply amazing with the Hornet and a good silver interconnect between amp and source. Period. Worst: AKG K81DJ - boomy muddy bass bloated things. unrefined, unenjoyable. I sorely regret having spent cash on those cans.

Pink noise. Nothing works like it. It does the job better than music, and in shorter time. Period.

I own a LDM+ and it's on par with the headphone out of my ipod video... Don't waste your money on it, IMHO. If you want to stay cheap but have a good amp, take a look at the go-vibe. Great bang for the buck there.

I have a Klipsch Igroove and it sounds pretty good, also it's compact and stylish. Costs less than bose sound dock and apple's hi-fi and is rated higher on all the web reviews.
