Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I know we all have different ears. That said I'm going crazy trying to get my Bose QC Ultras to stay in my ears, my left ear to be more precise. I love what these buds do when they're locked in - I really need ANC at the gym - but needing to re-insert them every few minutes isn't working for...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Somewhat off topic, but I just had a really great customer service encounter with Bose, thought I'd share. A couple weeks back I bought a set of refurbished QCII's directly from Bose, discounted to $200 from the (then) $250 full retail price. Saving $50 and promised the refurbished units...

A shame really, I just received a brand new set of Mystiques, returned the first set with a minor problem, replaced with this new set. Sadly, as much as I LOVE the sound of these, they just don't fit me. These are literally brand new, never even opened the box. Shipping within the US only, no...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Some early stage random thoughts and comparison between the Bose QCii's and Noble H-ANC for both noise cancellation and musical listening. I almost only listen to music while at the gym, something I do about 6 days a week for up to 3 hours per day. Just recently a new "corporate policy" came...

So, for $200 or so what might be better? I need really good ANC, like strong bass and a fun sound. The H-ANC sounded good to me, but if something is better I'm interested. And for all you young guys out there, I turn 73 in another month. Hearing is still very good.

Any reviews or impressions of the Noble H-ANC? I really like Noble's "house sound" and could use a good, no, great ANC for use at my gym that insists on blasting out some terrible noise some say is music. Otherwise, is there a really good say $200 tws that does music really well and does ANC...

Further questions on getting higher quality sound using an iPhone and tws: I stream all my music (Tidal) from my phone to my Fokus Mystiques. Doesn't sound bad, but not nearly as good as my previous higher end wired iem's. Is there either a dongle I can attach to my iPhone, or a stand alone...

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters

I've tried a couple dongles, no success for me. I'm stuck in the Apple universe and seems nothing is going to help. Maybe some day.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'm torn as I type this. I've had the Mystique for over a month now, until recently my only tws bud. When the fit is right they sound fantastic, but I'm really struggling to get a good fit. The buds are constantly working their way out of my ears, not falling on the pavement working out, but...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Does anyone know if AZLA crystal tips will fit the Noble Fokus Mystique? The Mystiques have a huge barrell, ~6.9 mm and other tips I've tried just don't fit. I have some Spinfits that do fit (CP155) and really like the result, when they are fully inserted, but they work their way out of my...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'm not sure where to ask this question, so if I'm in the wrong forum please transfer me there. I want to convert my wired headphone out (1/4 inch) to use my Bluetooth buds (Noble Mystiques). I run my computer (Mac) out to an Apogee Duet II, then use the headphone out on the Duet to listen to...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

This question has been posted a number of times on this thread, including by me. It seems something of a consensus, I think, that the Fokus Mystiques are top of the class for sq only. Unlike many on this forum I've only owned one other set of TWS earbuds, a cheap set just to see if I could...

Just because, you should try the custom eq option, plays tones at all the frequency ranges and then builds an eq specific to your hearing. You don't need to use it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the result - and the resulting graph didn't turn out at all as I expected! I might try some...

I think it it's a good purchase, understanding the fit will be personal to all of us. They work really well for me, and sound great. The Fokus app lets you customize the eq for your personal tastes, works really well.

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters

Well, this is disappointing. Maybe I'm not setting things up correctly? I figured out how to get the KB9P working on my MacBook Air (turn off bluetooth on the computer, duh...) and alternately paired my Noble Mystiques with the KB9P and just the regular BT output from the computer. Near as I...

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters

I'm trying to get the KB9P dongle to work in my Apple environment. I have ordered an adaptor cable, non-Apple, that is supposed to work with my iPhone, don't know if it will work, but I'm hopeful. Yesterday I plugged the KB9P into the USB port on the back of my iMac, just to see if it would...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

At the risk of embarrassing myself, I'll admit I know little to nothing about codecs. Reading these most recent posts might as well have been written in another language. With that as a starter, here's my question. Until I got the Mystiques I used wired IEM's, streaming Tidal at their...

Nothing really new here, but I'll add my comments about the Fokus Mystique. I received mine two days ago and all I can say is YOW! These are my first ever TWS IEM's, in fact my first in a long, long time of universal IEM's. These sound as good as anything I've ever heard. Out of the box...

Zetian Wu - Supplied Tips Don't Go On? Say What?

Yeah, I've done this, but the sleeve on the tip is super rubbery and flexible, so all it does is flop around when try to muscle it. I'll maybe keep working on it, but if I can't figure it out back they go. These guys ship with both "balanced" and "bass enhanced" tips. I can get the balanced...

Zetian Wu - Supplied Tips Don't Go On? Say What?

I just received a new set of these buds, using the tips they shipped with. Good, not great, fit was not for me. So, they ship with multiple tips, but for the life of me I can't attach them. The bore on these Wu's have a large lip, but the tips themselves are way smaller than the bore. Is...

I know all about the on screen slider to make finer volume adjustments, but it is a major pain, especially when one is moving in any way at all. Plus, for me, the main benefit of wireless is the ability to keep my phone deep in a pocket and control everything by tapping the individual buds...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Is there such a thing as a volume control dongle the attaches to an iPhone and controls the volume on a Bluetooth IEM? I'm an iPhone user, streaming through Tidal, soon to own a set of Fokus Mystiques, my first Bluetooth IEM. My issue is with the iPhone and the volume control, or more...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Maybe I'm just different, but I'd love to get a GREAT sounding bluetooth IEM that just plays music. Call it a wireless IEM that sounds as good as a wired model, and, just like a great wired IEM, just does one thing well. I could care less about ANC, answering my phone, ambient mode, etc. I...
