    NVA AP10H Headphone amp.

Not a great fit with the AKG 702, but I have the older version of the amp which needs higher impedance cans. The designer apparently discovered Grado so you might have better luck with the new model.

Seattle Spring Meet at BottleHeadquarters 4/25/2015

Count me in! I'd like to hear the Mr. Speakers and the Beyers. I can't wait to hear the Bottleheads (zero experience with tube headphone amplifiers).   Stuff I can bring if there's interest: Ragnarok, LCD-X, HD600.

    Schiit Owners Unite

I'm happy you figured out the problem! If you're curious, Wikipedia has an article on "Line Level" that explains what you're hearing. Enjoy the music!

    Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier

I had the same question! The "both active" setting is useful if you listen to headphones with a subwoofer (either attached to the speaker or preamp outputs). Someone also suggested listening to headphones and speakers simultaneously, which is an interesting effect.   There are probably many...

Oh Schiit, it's the end of the world! Announcing Ragnarok.

I've spent a few hours with the Ragnarok now: MacBook via Bifrost Uber optical, to LCD-X balanced (they're new to me, which may color my impressions of the amp) or to PSB Alpha B1s. Redneck cables. No blind tests yet, but I'll give some early impressions of both the sound and the experience of...

    NVA AP10H Headphone amp.

I've been using an AP10P (AP10H + speaker outlets) for over a decade now with many sources and headphones, including the K702s. The amp has a detailed, natural sound, though a bit small with the AKGs. The sound with HD600s was much fuller, but I got sick of jiggling the connector cables with...
