Hi there,   in the moment I am testing the Fiio E06 on my DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm and I think I'm expecting a little more from an Amp. Now the question: is there any DIY kit which I can assamble which is a little better than the Fiio E06. I'm not disappointed but it could be better.   Thank you!

After a few days of using my new DT 770 Pro 80 I can defenetly confirm that they need amplification to sound best! I love listening to them on my Amplifier (Marantz SR 4021) but using them on my S3 along with Viper4Android FX and Boeffla Kernel is not nearly as good as with an amp.

They are quite expensive in Germany ... (200 € / $270)

How do you think about AKG K550/551 in comparison to the DT 770 and M50? They (AKG K551) are pretty cheap at the moment.

Unfortunately they are at ~ 240 € ($330) and out of my budget ... I think german products are a bit cheaper in germany.

If thought like the 80 Ohm version was loud enough. Is the volume the limiting factor you are talking about or others like sound quality without amp?
