Ear pads for Beyerdynamic DT770-PRO-250OHM
I bought a set of Beyerdynamic DT770-PRO-250OHM headphones a few years ago from Adorama. They were sold as demos with new ear pads. Just realized the stock ear pads should be grey and mine came with black which I assume are aftermarket. They are comfortable and I'm not experiencing any problems...- Bugler

Best Headphones for low volume listening?
I have a Sennheiser HD650 open back and a Beyerdynamic DT770-PRO-250OHM closed back. Both are high impedance (300 ohm and 250 ohm respectively) used with a Schiit Valhalla tube headphone amp. They both sound quite nice at low listening levels though the HD650 in all aspects has superior sound...- Bugler

Beyerdynamic DT770-pro-250ohm
I had posted on my local audiophile forum that I was looking for cans with sound at least close to my Sennheiser HD650 but with closed back for isolation from ambient sounds (wife, tv, etc) and velour ear cushions like the HD650. I was considering Beyerdynamic DT770-pro-250ohm. Another member...- Bugler

Build Quality of Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and Quality Control
I have been searching for a closed back headphone to compliment my beloved HD650 to use when background noise (wife, tv...) interferes with my music listening. Though I prefer speakers, cans sure have their place. I spend most of my waking hours listening to music (stuck home on disability...- Bugler

Best MP3 player under 200?
Just a thought. I have a Classic 80 gig Ipod. Not sure how but iTunes was removed from it and it works like any standard mp3 player. Real easy to download music onto it from any source and it sounds better than iTunes. At least good for a mp3 player.- Bugler

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Wouldn't putting cheap ear pads on a HD650 be like putting Pep Boys tires on a Jaguar? I really wouldn't want to give up sound quality to save a few bucks. Buy them from Sennheiser.- Bugler

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I have a Valhalla (1) and it sounds awesome with my HD650. I listen to mostly analog jazz & classical with some classic rock mixed in. I just started messing with Tidal as my son and daughter in law bought me a Modi for Chanukah. It's fed from a MacBook Air and feeds the Modi to a Carver C5...- Bugler

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I love everything about my 650. Is the Beyer DT770 similar with regard to sonic signature and comfort but being closed I'm looking for decent isolation from ambient sounds. Is the DT770 good for this? My amp is a Valhalla. Thx- Bugler

Recommend me a good set of over ear closed headphones for metal and rock music. Budget 600$. Upgrading from Denon 2000
Beyerdynamic DT660 & DT770 are closed and are supposed to be very comfortable and with good sound. In fact I'm trying to choose a pair of closed headphones. Also considering AKG K272. All that I mentioned have plush earpads which is a requirement for me. I hate pleather! Good luck- Bugler

closed can sonically similar to HD650
Most of my listening is with speakers but I do listen quite a bit with my HD650 & Valhalla amp. Mostly jazz, classical, and classic rock. I am very happy with the 650/Valhalla combo. Looking for a similar set of cans with closed back for those times I need to block out noise around me (tv, wife...- Bugler

Koss Portapro Thread
Just an FYI. I was at KMART a couple weeks ago and they had 3 PortaPros in sealed factory packaging on closeout go $25. I bought one for the countless hours I spend in doctors appointments, hospitals & chemo sessions. They seem to be a good compromise between sound & portability.- Bugler

HD650 on sale
Just noticed the HD650 is on sale at Amazon for $431.56 with free shipping. I listen to mostly jazz, classical, and classic rock and absolutely love mine. I power mine with a Valhalla amp and all serious listening sources are analog through a Carver preamp. Admittedly I do prefer speakers though. :)- Bugler
