it pleases me to be a minority voice on this topic. How/why/when UE made modifications to their product is their business. They owe you no answer.- MyInnerEar

Again, if you got a faulty pair you can return them under warranty. They don't owe you an explanation every time they make a change.- MyInnerEar

Companies make tweaks/changes/improvements to models all the time. They don't owe you an explanation every time they improve their product. I personally had no issues with my UE900 and I'm a heavy user. I suspect the issues raised here represent a small percentage of people. Even still, UE made...- MyInnerEar

Later versions of UE900 also carry a 1 year warranty, just like my UE18 Pro Custom. It's easier said than done if you bought used, trying to save money.- MyInnerEar

Since you really like it and you've had no problems with it, where's the problem? If you have a problem later, that's what the warranty is for. If there's something missing in the packaging materials, call UE Custom shop in California, I'm sure they'll get it to you.- MyInnerEar

I suppose you could wait until someone (maybe a contributor) does a thorough review of the 900s. Then if They don't prefer it, everyone will be happy with old stock lol- MyInnerEar

If your buying decision considers resale value, don't buy Customs. If you want the best comfort/isolation/sound custom is best IMO. Demo before you buy to ensure you're happy. Only you know what sounds right to your ears.- MyInnerEar

Looks like they made some improvements to address previous concerns. And during production transition pieces were made that customer service knows nothing about. Nothing wrong with Logitech making the UE900 even better. I say rock what you got, but if your completely anal, return them under...- MyInnerEar

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
"Probably the unit I was listening to wasn't burnt in or I should have paired it with an amp". What's worse than getting an earphone that doesn't sound right, is spending even more money on an amp/DAC/cable in hope of getting it to sound right.- MyInnerEar

I listened to the UM50 and the best thing about it was the comfort. They are light, and comfortable...an easy fit right out of the box. But because this is supposed to be one of Westones top products, I expected better sound. Maybe it was their "house sound" that didn't appeal to me. It was the...- MyInnerEar

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
When I was age 9 I had no problem using my receivers bass & treble knobs to get the sound I liked. When I was a teen, my car stereo had an 8 band EQ, which I used to set my sound signature. And yet here...in a community of seasoned audiophiles and music lovers, there's fear of a tuning box with...- MyInnerEar
