    SONY NW-ZX2

I've tried searching everywhere but i can't seem to find it. Does anyone know the voltage output for the Zx2 from the HP jack? I'm hoping it's within the 2.0-2.2V range, close to the line level output from DAPs with a dedicated LO, so i can feed the ZX2 to an external amp. And help or info is...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

I do not claim to understand precisely how the DLC/ADLC technology works. Based on my scholastic research on semi-crystalline / amorphous synthetic polymers however, it's vital to consider that amorphous and crystalline structures can have markedly different physical and chemical properties...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

This. I think that preference plays a huge part here. I just auditioned the Andromeda, Lyra II and Vega. I don't think that the Vega has any significant qualities that jump out at you upon first listen, apart from the heftiness of bass. With critical listening however, the Vegas begin to...

    Perfect Seal Custom in-ear monitors

I'd like to chime in to say that the AR6 have been my daily IEMs for nearly a year now, and they are simply awesome to the extent that I see zero point finding another reference pair of IEMs. I struggle to find fault with it - perhaps it is slightly too resolving? It decimates poor recordings...

    IBasso Audio IT03

A brief summary of my findings when comparing the IT03 and the Pinnacle P1: They are quite close in terms of SQ. The IT03 has a more dynamic overall sound, which makes it more impressionable, and a good choice for certain genres. Bass reaches deeper, and has better texture. The P1 is more...

    SONY NW-ZX2

From what I understand though, the WM port has digital output (adaptor), but also analog out (i.e fiio l50 to RCA termination). I was just wondering if it were possible to obtain a balanced analog signal to dual XLR, even if the balanced signal were theoretically not 'true' balanced.

    SONY NW-ZX2

Quick question here. Would using this cable here http://forzaaudioworks.com/en/product.php?id_product=51 and getting the Sony connector -> dual 3-pin XLR enable true line output from the ZX2 into a balanced amp like the Liquid Carbon?

    IBasso Audio IT03

Spent another hour with the IT03, this time auditioning alongside the Andromeda. The IT03 was fitted with the short silicone tips. The Andromeda is certainly more efficient than the IT03. Had to dial up/down the volume a couple of notches for suitable volume matching. Not sure how many hours...

    IBasso Audio IT03

Thanks for your impressions once again. Mine are fairly similar to yours. Main difference is with regards to soundstage and imaging. I always take your reviews and findings seriously, and now I feel obliged to give the IT03 yet another go.

    IBasso Audio IT03

Yes. Unit had been burnt in for approximately 100 hours.

I'd be interested to know your impressions on the IT03 as well.

    IBasso Audio IT03

Yes, I must stress that this isn't a knock on the IT03 at all. It has plenty of great qualities that are hard to come by in any price bracket.

    IBasso Audio IT03

Nope that's not the issue. I've heard plenty of dynamic/hybrid IEMs as well. Certainly doesn't apply across the board

    IBasso Audio IT03

I've given the IT03 a thorough audition. Whilst they are undeniably good IEMs, in particular in the lower frequencies, I do not feel that they reach the standards of my personal reference benchmarks such as the CFA Andromedas, 64 Audio U12s. I also prefer the Perfect Seal AR6, Noble K10s and a...

    IBasso Audio IT03

I understand your enthusiasm, but this logic makes zero sense. Can you please stop throwing superlatives around like 'the best', 'just too good'? You have already mentioned exhaustively how much you like these. We acknowledge that. Now give it a rest and stop hyping these up further using the...

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

Whichever party shoulders the blame here, I don't really care any longer. I will just say that for them to take literally years for coming round to this realization and/or giving open disclosure as such, is almost an amusing spectacle. The sheer ineptness of the organization as a whole is...

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

I just cannot understand how you can claim to share the same misgivings as everyone else, then single out Larry and Gavin for praise, and then absolve them of blame for all the problems you pointed out. A company isn't simply many individuals working in parallel. Granted there's different kinds...

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

Crowdfunding brings certain liberties. Being misleading (or even worse dishonest) is not one of them. In my opinion this is no longer about crowdfunding vs non-crowdfunding. It's universal business ethics. I followed the LC thread quite closely as well. The key difference was that Alex, his...

And about the 'but the normal development cycle of a product is usually....' No, just no. You were crowdfunded. You get to skip a huge part of the project development cycle. No pitching required, just cash up front from the onset. Even if you disregard that, people are willing to cut some...

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

I agree the Wave evolved into something which was much more sophisticated than it was originally intended to be, and the intention which drove it was good as well. It will certainly be viewed positively by those whom are willing and able to wait for the delay in delivery. But that's the...

SpinFit Eartips Thread - The cheapest audio upgrade

Pardon me if this question has already been asked (I don't see it anywhere in this thread though), but in comparison with the Spinfit tips, do either the Ortofon tips or Spiral Dot tips have a larger bore? I agree with @H20Fidelity that whilst a design necessity for the flexible rotation motion...

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

@Larry Ho can we hear directly from you when is the realistic shipping date for the first batch of Geek Waves? I appreciate all the in depth explanations and all but we've already had plenty of that in the past which suggested that the repeated promised date was a possibility, only to be proven...

    CanJam Singapore 2016 Impressions (February 20-21, 2016)

I recall that the Martian was my favourite of between the 3 (The 10BA which I think is the Legacy, Martian, Merlin 2).   The Martian was balanced with great overall resolution, clarity and detail.

Larry, could you just directly answer his question with an actual date/ time period? Not the Source but the Wave.
