Yep ... I tried one beats in best-buy and I was not impressed at all. I think if I were a basshead, I would reach for beyer dt770 for the same price range.

So you mean Magni does not improve the SQ of ER4S much? Oh yes, I remember I read somewhere that Magni is not designed for IEM's.

I think it's normal. Magni gives loud pops to my beyerdynamic dt660 (32ohm) too. Not so much to my other phones dt880 600ohm. I guess the lower the impedance, the louder the noise. Just turn on the amp without the headphones plugged in.
