I think the teaks have more bass than the x00 mahogany. It just seems fuller down low.

So far compared to the x00 Mahogany, these seems to have more lush vocals down low. Especially for male vocals it's more throaty and warm. So much better, and something missing in the x00 mh. I think the highs are similar, so it seems the teaks are less fatiguing since that lower end kicks in...

Just took the foam inserts out of my Superlux HD330/HD660 (Beyerdynamic DT990/DT770 pretty much) and put them in the cups of these. The highs aren't as piercing at all!!! So smooth and tame now. Bass is faintly less noticeable but still there. Will play around with different inserts. So far so good.
