    Help; BTG audio

I ordered a cable from him back in 2016. IIRC - took him 6-8 weeks to respond, but the [braided/shielded] IEM cable I bought was EXCEPTIONALLY well built and lasted 4.5 yrs (and 100's of gigs) before one side failed where the cable exited the stiff flexible hose that goes over your ear! I'd love...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

As a 2.5 year user of 1964 Qi's for live audio (not what most on here focus on, I know) and a bass and guitar player.. I was really comfortable with them for live and "canned" music use. As my band recently became 64 "artists", I upgraded to the A8's, based on the web site signatures. After...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Per their web site.. I don't begin to understand HOW it does it, but the clarity in live audio is very REAL .. I have 40+ hrs use since I got it and I won't gig without it.. my hearing is thanking me.. again, idk if this device is any use to folks other than those who do live audio.. and.. NO...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I'm not sure if this is relevant to the audiophiles on here, but I often wear/use mine for 8+ hours on a weekend, while playing live music. Being "live", the audio we monitor comes with all kinds of added artifacts, distortion, frequencies outside hearing range, and harmonics that have...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

As a happy owner of Qi's (2+ yrs now) with some 300+ hours of live stage use in 2015 alone, my A8's are close to "shells printed". My band is/are now 1964 endorsees and my lead singer's A12's are about a week ahead of mine. Can't wait...     FWIW - I went with the A8's vs the A4's (I play...

Just ordered my A8's (auto's I assume) and shipped out new impressions to WA...  now starts the waiting!   Still, my Qi's will do the job for the 10+ gigs I'll get thru before the A8's arrive!!   Can't wait!

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I'm a 2-yr+ user of the Qi's.. for live audio monitoring on stage.. have over 400+ hrs on them in 2015 alone. That said, the A4 sonic profile is identical to the Qi's (when one could still do a compare - as they've changed the website). As a bass player also, I can get stupid/silly bass in the...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Best thing you can do is go to their web site and look at which models they recommend based on live sound and the instrument you play.. I have the old Qi's (4-drivers per ear) and am about to upgrade to the A8's  -  I play bass. For simple listening, I would suggest you call them and ask...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Never had that happen to me.. and I've used my Qi's extensively on long flights and most weekends while doing 4-hr gigs in my band over the last 2 yrs.   If you get ringing in your ears - its TOO LOUD! - or your hearing is already damaged!

LOL - I know you weren't. It was just one of those questions that pops into one's mind when weighing in on options, and not finding anything on the topic, I posed the question. I mean, there are people that will STEAL anything given the opportunity, and it's amazing who those folks can turn out...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

thanks for the price clarification...   No, I'm not talking about ME taking them out.. I'm talking about someone ELSE (who knows what they are) removing the cartridges.. as they ARE removable, and from what I've read, not that difficult to extract.   The feedback has basically said not an...

I believe (I read in this thread?) that the auto models are $199 each..  that's ~$400 for both sides. If that's not the price, then I stand corrected..

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

so... question for the ADEL owners.. I have been considering upgrading - I'm a serious "weekend-warrior" musician with a set of 1964 Qi's (CIEM), who played more than 75 gigs last year - and that doesn't include my Sun am church gigs - where I also use my Qi's. Other than that, the only time I...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

It's really not !!!   As a mod on another popular "music product" forum, there are rules about commercial/vendors accounts, disclosure and so on. Those rules are in effect so that "normal" consumer-type members (like you and me) are aware that the poster has a vested interest in promoting...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Yikes... that would concern me vs the autos..not the clicking, but the need to tune! Is that going to be necessary??   From your inside track with Vitaliy (and co) what's the general consensus/feedback 64 has had from musicians on the use of the 'autos' vs adjustable for live use?   Unlike...

I appreciate the offer of a demo, and completely understand. I'll keep researching/reading and depending on how others provide feedback for stage/live use - make a decision soon, or wait until you guys get the clickable cartridge on the market! thanks for your time/input!

Canyon, thanks for taking the time to reply...   I'm not disputing the technology.. been following it since the Kickstarter effort. Almost jumped on a set of A12's back then, but couldn't justify the $$.   However, I have the Qi's and mostly use them at gigs. Your A12 review indicated the...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Thanks for the info on the sound signature..   However the "question of what's your hearing in the future worth to you" is not really germane..IMHO.  I've been using 1964 Qi's for 2 yrs, (Westones before that and industry standard professional headphones for FOH monitoring, etc. all along)...
