Off-topic, but since this thread has been pretty much resolved, whats a good (100 - 400 dollar) pair of IEM's that are focused on bass? I have the vPulse ($89) iem and love them, but just wanna see what the next upgrade would be :)

Think of the headphones like skateboard brands...Skullcandy is a walmart deck. In lack of a better comparison, Skullcandy is like taco bell quality, Grado's are taco johns (taco bell is ****ty imo)

i will be mainly just listening to spotify off my computer and ipod, wont be listening to that other stuff you mentioned haha

with that statement about feeding the 'phones, are you talking about the DAP? I will probably be using my ipod touch 4th gen and also my school's laptop and my desktop. And what i mean by no difference is that from what I remember, both of them sounded fairly the same, the beats are **** for ear...

source was my school's laptop but i will mainly be listening from my ipod touch 4th gen,  and it was from spotify. also i listen to rap, rock, mainstream hip hop, underground rap, heavy metal, dubstep, chillstep, techno sometimes, and film scores

Hmm well what i'm trying to ask is if there is a BIG difference between bad and good earbuds, or is it very minimal?

unfortunately i did not, they were my friend's earbuds, i listened to each of them during different periods haha (im still in highschool, 16)

oh no, i dont own either of those, im just saying that ive used both before and didnt notice a difference haha, i got the Velodyne vPulse coming in the mail tomorrow, they are rated as one of the best IEM's to buy for $100 dollars, im just wondering if there actually will be a noticeable...
