Audioquest Nighthawk Carbon vs Sony MDR Z7 vs Beyerdynamic Amiron Home, A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!! Just kidding. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Buddhahacker, years ago when i got into audio, i felt that i wanted accuracy over musicality every single time but that has not be the case. In fact after refining my taste, i think it's the very opposite. After listening to so many speakers that were considered more accurate and then...- NooBee

Audioquest Nighthawk Carbon vs Sony MDR Z7 vs Beyerdynamic Amiron Home, A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!! Just kidding. Any advice would be appreciated.
It's tax time again and after paying some bills I will treat myself to a new set of headphones. A present to me for all my yearly hard work. I currently own the Focal Spirit Classic, which I believe are fantastic cans. What I love most about them? Mid range, how well it handled all vocals,in...- NooBee

Headphones vs Loudspeakers
True that loudspeakers can be a shared. And you're right, it doesn't really matter how much you spend, it's about the experience. But yet some really feel that $400+ is too much for headphones.- NooBee

Headphones vs Loudspeakers
Spend $400 on Loudspeakers or $400 on headphones, why does it feel different? Basically they're both speakers right? Yet it seem to be hard to drop major coin on headphones. Why?- NooBee

I'd love to hear that. I think I read it's only in mobile devices, ipads, itouch, iPhone and android phones. Hopefully coming soon to home equipment as well.- NooBee

Hey Claritas, i just received my Objective2+DAC Combo yesterday. I have to say that right out of the box, i love the sound ( or better yet the absents of). Impressive! Exactly what i was looking for, better resolving power for my music and more power delivery to my cans. My headphone are quite...- NooBee

Reply to review by 'noobee' on item 'Focal Spirit Classic'
Great review, I totally agree. I've had my Classics for a few weeks and my only problem is my fat head. Lol! Clamping force is a little much for me on long listens, but hopefully it will loosen over time. And Oh memory foam gets warm, luckily it's winter time. Lol. Otherwise very impressive...- NooBee

Focal Spirit Classic vs Focal Spirit Professional Vs Bowers & Wilkins P7
Oh and one other thing, only two slight negatives, if you have fat head like me, the clamping force maybe a little strong and the memory foam pads get a little warm. Thank goodness it's winter time! Lol!- NooBee

Focal Spirit Classic vs Focal Spirit Professional Vs Bowers & Wilkins P7
I have not heard the pros but recently purchased the classics about two weeks ago and after a very short break in period, they do have a some what warm quality to them. To my ear they have a very flat frequency response, neutral, sweet, sweet incredibly natural midrange, sparkling highs but in no...- NooBee

Merry Christmas to you too!:) Yeah on paper at 32ohms and relatively high sensitivity it should be an easy load but i feel i will benefit from the added power of an amp and the resolution of a good dac. Just a laptop as a source and I'd like to stay under $300.- NooBee
