Thanks for your infos. Bad that maybe there's no price-similar in-ear alternative to the HD600 but somehow doesn't surprise me. Maybe I just go with IE80 until a 600-in-ear is found/released.     AFAIK even the HE-500 is not necessarily better than the 600. I'd say only for bass they better.

That's why I'm asking :) Obviously there's a good reason for in-ears to exist. So maybe some in-ear from Sennheiser would be a good HD600 equivalent?

I ordered the Modi now (+ Crack as amp), but I may still need an XLR input for microphone. If I get one I'll do a comparison and reply here. But again, if someone has an DAC: ODAC or Modi and DAW: UR22 or 2i2 (or similar) and can compare them and post if a dedicated DAC is worth it, would be nice.

Ok, good to know. Customs office is quite expensive (50€ for Crack as I understand it, will see tomorrow), customs frontier is 150€, but because it's over 22€ (price+shipping) I'd still have to pay import sales taxes ((price+shipping costs)*taxes (should be 19%)) for Modi.

You can get the clipping intentionally by e.g. cranking up the volume in software. Make sure it's not over 100% there. I'd also say it's not the 600.
